Our team
Ruth Gartland has been Director of SAIL since 2013. Prior to that she was Head of Therapy at Sail, having joined the charity in 2007. She is also an alumni of the Mary Seacole programme. As a qualified psychotherapist, Ruth is passionately committed to helping survivors recover and has helped hundreds of people to do so.
We couldn’t do our work without our team of twenty highly committed and specialised paid and volunteer staff. Together they provide the helpline, ISVA, counselling and administrative support that is necessary to help the charity to function. We are hugely thankful for all of them and the hard work they do to make such a big difference to the lives of so many.
Our supporters
The charity is deeply grateful for its funding from Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Derby and Derbyshire ICB, the Ministry of Justice, the National Lottery Community Fund, Lloyds Bank Foundation and many others, without whom its work would not be possible.
