Online Safety

If you are worried about another person finding out that you have visited our website you can do the following:

• Use the Hide button at the top of the screen. This will take you straight to the Google home page.

• Be aware that our website will still feature in your browsing history, even if you use the Hide button, which means that someone can easily click the back button or search in the history to find this website.  Find out how to delete your browing history.

• Consider using a private browsing window so that your history is not saved in the same way. Find out how to use a private browsing window.

How to get help

If you, or someone you know, are in immediate danger of injury or harm you should dial 999 and ask to speak to the Police.

If you are not able to speak you can dial 999 and wait. The operator is trained to listen to what’s happening where you are and then automatically connect the call to the Police.

FAQ’s

How to delete your browsing history

Deleting your browser history means that no one else can see which websites you have visited.
You can do this by finding the Clear or Delete History option in your browser. When you use this option make sure you select the option to remove Cookies as well as the history.

How to use private browsing
Using a Private Window as it is often called, the InPrivate option (in Microsoft Edge) or Incognito (in Google Chrome) function, enables you to look at websites and then close the browser with no history being saved afterwards. The advantage of this is that it ensures you can’t accidentally leave a trace of your internet browsing. It does still rely on you closing the window to remove the record of your activity, and not leaving it open for others to find.
