On Sunday 27 September 2026, Amna took on the Robin Hood Half Marathon to raise money for SAIL and what an incredible achievement it has been!
Amna originally set herself a fundraising target of £500, but that target was quickly surpassed. She then set her sights on £2,080, enough to fund a full counselling course for someone accessing SAIL’s services.
And she didn’t stop there.
By race day, Amna had raised an incredible £2,800, with her sights set on reaching £3,000 before closing her fundraising page.
After months of preparation and training, Amna took to the start line on Sunday and completed the half marathon, putting all those miles of training to the test.
We are incredibly grateful to Amna for choosing to run for SAIL and for the huge amount of time, energy and commitment she has put into supporting our work.
Her fundraising will help SAIL continue providing specialist support to people in Derbyshire who have experienced sexual abuse, incest and sexual violence. Every pound raised helps us continue offering services that can make a real difference to someone’s recovery.
From an initial £500 target to potentially reaching £3,000, Amna has gone above and beyond.
Thank you, Amna and congratulations on completing your half marathon!
We’re incredibly proud to have had you running for SAIL.
Surviving and Thriving.
